Overview
This module offers a comprehensive exploration into the three emerging technological disruptions that are shaping the future of finance - Artificial Intelligence (AI) Blockchain Technology, and Privacy Enhancing Technologies
This module allows participants to explore the fundamental principles, potential applications, and the challenges and opportunities AI, Blockchain technology and Privacy Enhancing Technologies present in the financial industry. They will also gain an understanding practical applications in fields like customer service, investment management, credit scoring, and risk management, along with tackling the associated ethical and regulatory considerations.
By the end of this module, participants will possess a comprehensive understanding of how these burgeoning technologies are reshaping the financial services industry and will be equipped to leverage them in their professional environments.
Learning Objectives
At the end of the 3-day module, participants will be able to:
- Gain insight into the transformative effect of AI on financial services, including practical applications and regulatory considerations
- Analyse the role of AI in risk management and credit scoring, and develop an understanding of ethical issues associated with AI in finance
- Grasp the concept of Machine Learning and its significant role in modern Fintech solutions
- Comprehend the principles and potential applications of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies in the financial industry
- Evaluate the advantages, challenges, and opportunities associated with blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies
- Understand the impact of data analytics, blockchain, and AI on traditional financial services and the opportunities they present
- Understand how privacy enhancing technologies work and the opportunities present for their application in the financial services
Assessment
As part of the requirement for SkillsFuture Singapore, there will be an assessment conducted at the end of the course. The mode of assessment, which is up to the trainer’s discretion, may be an online quiz, a presentation or based on classroom exercises.
Participants are required to attain a minimum of 75% attendance and pass the associated assessment in order to receive a digital Certificate of Completion issued by Singapore Management University.
