PREREQUISITES
- Participants should have a basic understanding of financial and economic concepts.

Overview
This module delves into the role of these elements within the realm of Fintech.
The module guides participants through the journey of launching and scaling a Fintech startup, highlighting key considerations such as the Fintech ecosystem, venture capital, and funding options. Using case studies of successful Fintech startups, participants are encouraged to identify opportunities for innovation within this sector, paving the way for potential entrepreneurial ventures. Structured with lectures, case studies, interactive discussions, and hands-on exercises, this module aims to provide participants with the tools and insights needed to carve their niche in the Fintech landscape as innovative entrepreneurs.
Learning Objectives
At the end of the 2-day module, participants will be able to:
- Understand the intricacies of developing, launching, and scaling a Fintech startup
- Develop a comprehensive knowledge of the Fintech ecosystem, including the funding landscape and venture capital
- Analyse case studies of successful Fintech startups to glean insights and identify emerging trends and opportunities in the Fintech space
- Develop a holistic perspective of the Fintech landscape, with the ability to critically examine and evaluate its evolution in light of entrepreneurship, innovation, and behavioural finance
Assessment
As part of the requirement for SkillsFuture Singapore, there will be an assessment conducted at the end of the course. The mode of assessment, which is up to the trainer’s discretion, may be an online quiz, a presentation or based on classroom exercises.
Participants are required to attain a minimum of 75% attendance and pass the associated assessment in order to receive a digital Certificate of Completion issued by Singapore Management University.

- Organisation must be registered or incorporated in Singapore
- Employment size of not more than 200 or with annual sales turnover of not more than $100 million
