This module is conducted in-person.
2 days
Weekdays (9am - 5pm)

Managers, executives, officers, auditors, end-users, contract owners and specialists in purchasing, procurement and supply chain management roles whose job responsibility requires them to understand and manage or support the digitalisation of the procurement function.
PREREQUISITES
Participants should preferably be
- conversant in English, both spoken and written; and
- proficient in MS Office.
Overview
While digitalisation underlies many of the elements that procurement needs to master, in and of itself, digitalisation is only a tool that enables agility. When viewed in this context, the rush to become digital is less of a frenetic all-out race to do something digital and more a selection from a menu of enabling technologies that will help most teams achieve their business goals. This module teaches procurement professionals how to tackle the digital topic. Participants will acquire specific knowledge within procurement about the technologies that are available and how they fit together in the strategic landscape.
Learning Objectives
- Gain an overview of the impact of digitalisation on procurement over the years, the benefits and pitfalls
- Know the things, e.g., technologies, systems, structural change, etc. needed to support their organisation's digital procurement strategy
- Understand the steps to be taken to implement the digital procurement plan in order to realise the full potential of the digital revolution
Assessment
As part of the requirement for SkillsFuture Singapore, there will be an assessment conducted at the end of the course. The mode of assessment, which is up to the trainer’s discretion, may be an online quiz, a presentation or based on classroom exercises.
Participants are required to attain a minimum of 75% attendance and pass the associated assessment in order to receive a digital Certificate of Completion issued by Singapore Management University.
