Please refer to respective modules for dates.
Who Should Attend
- Professionals who want an introduction to Unity for potential industry applications
- Engineers who want to leverage Unity's powerful tools for creating interactive prototypes, simulating real-world scenarios, and testing product functionality before physical development
- Project designers interested in using Unity to create immersive experiences and interactive elements for presentations, user testing, and enhancing project visualisation
- Marketers curious how to utilise Unity's capabilities to develop engaging 3D marketing campaigns, interactive product showcases, and captivating promotional videos to stand out in a competitive landscape
- Professionals interested in learning C# (prior basic knowledge of programming recommended).
Overview
This programme taps on the potential of Unity, not just as a game engine, but also as a powerful tool for product design and development. With its various pillars, ranging from Prototyping and Product Design to Augmented and Virtual Reality, Unity provides support through its capabilities for real-time rendering. This accelerates any 3D design process by allowing for easier collaboration, faster iterations speeds, and visualisations on multiple platforms.
This certificate programme dives into using Unity for product development by giving participants the opportunity to complete a series of hands-on projects, spanning from data visualisations to Extended Reality integrations. Upon completion of the programme, participants will learn how to maximise the potential of Unity as a tool throughout the entire design process - from planning to deployment.
Learning Objectives
- Learn the basics of Unity navigation, 3D scene creation, asset usage, and C# programming fundamentals
- Master importing, editing, and animating 3D models, along with triggering animations and incorporating sound effects and visual effects
- Understand the concept of digital twins, create them in Unity, connect them to sensor data, and conduct simulations for various applications
- Explore the use of Unity for virtual simulations and 3D marketing, including creating promotional videos with advanced features
- Utilise machine learning to conduct simulations in Unity projects for analysing real-world applications and product behaviour
