Overview

Oftentimes, static visualisations are not sufficient to see the inner workings of a complex system. This is where animations come in. Through motion, employees and clients will have a greater understanding of how a product - such as a robotic arm - works. Outside of animating a product’s own motion, through animations, a step-by-step sequence can be shown to view both the external and internal components of the product. Traditional animation workflows are often time-consuming due to the time taken for rendering processes.

In this module, participants will learn how to use Unity for animations. With Unity’s real-time rendering, there can be faster turnaround times for creating animations. Moreover, with the integration of lighting, audio, and special effects all in one platform, Unity allows for easy expansion of visualisations into creating promotional videos to market products.

This module is part of a sequential programme and is not available on a standalone basis.
