Overview

Most Artificial Intelligence (AI) programmes teach people how to use AI. This programme teaches people how to think, evaluate and make better decisions when working with AI.

Organisations today have access to more information, more technology and more AI tools than ever before. Yet poor decisions continue to occur. Projects fail, poor hires are made, wrong vendors are selected, risks are overlooked, and recommendations are approved based on incomplete analysis. The challenge is no longer access to information. The challenge is judgment.

As Generative AI (GenAI) becomes increasingly embedded into workplace analysis and decision-making, professionals need more than the ability to generate answers quickly. They need the capability to frame problems clearly, challenge assumptions, evaluate alternatives, recognise emotional and cognitive influences, question AI-generated outputs, and exercise responsible human judgement.

To address this, the programme introduces participants to the DECODA Decision Clarity Architecture (DCA), a practical framework for strengthening the quality, clarity and defensibility of workplace decisions and recommendations. The result is stronger decision integrity, with decisions that are clearer, more explainable, more justifiable, and more responsibly reached.

Learning Objectives

By the end of the 2-day programme, participants will be able to:

  • Apply the four Decision Clarity Architecture (DCA) foundations to workplace decisions and recommendations
  • Frame decision problems more clearly before evaluating solutions
  • Improve critical thinking and decision quality
  • Recognise cognitive, emotional and Artificial Intelligence (AI)-related decision risks
  • Design and build a Personal AI Decision Support Assistant for a recurring workplace decision or recommendation
  • Apply structured approaches to explore alternative scenarios and perspectives
  • Use AI responsibly to support decision-making
  • Structure decision rationale so that recommendations are easier to challenge, review and justify

She has also spent over a decade designing and delivering professional training programmes in risk, internal audit, compliance, communication and AI-related topics.

Drawing on her experience in decision making, governance and human judgement, Sylvia developed the DECODA Decision Clarity Architecture (DCA) to help individuals and organisations strengthen decision quality in an increasingly AI-augmented world.
