Overview
Covering economic data analysis, stock market, fixed income market, and currency markets, participants will learn to use Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) for effective questioning, gaining various perspectives, uncovering blind spots, and discovering new opportunities. The course emphasises the importance of prompt engineering and checking against GenAI’s hallucinations. By the end of the course, participants will be equipped with the skills to leverage AI tools like GenAI for both narrow and comprehensive investment analysis.
Learning Objectives
- Understand Artificial Intelligence (AI) Applications in Investment: To provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of how AI can be applied in various aspects of investment analysis, including economic data analysis, stock market, fixed income market, and currency markets
- Hands-on Experience with Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI): To equip participants with practical skills in using GenAI for effective questioning, gaining various perspectives, uncovering blind spots, and discovering new opportunities
- Master Prompt Engineering: To teach participants the art of prompt engineering and how to check against GenAI’s hallucinations to ensure accurate and reliable analysis
- Real-world Application: To expose participants to real-world case studies of successful AI-driven investment strategies, enabling them to apply what they’ve learned in practical scenarios
- Stay Ahead in the Financial Landscape: To help participants stay ahead in the rapidly evolving financial landscape by leveraging the latest AI tools and techniques in investment analysis
Assessment
As part of the requirement for SkillsFuture Singapore, there will be an assessment conducted at the end of the course. The mode of assessment, which is up to the trainer’s discretion, may be an online quiz, a presentation or based on classroom exercises.
Participants are required to attain a minimum of 75% attendance and pass the associated assessment in order to receive a digital Certificate of Completion issued by Singapore Management University.

Enhanced Training Support for SMEs (ETSS)
- Organisation must be registered or incorporated in Singapore
- Employment size of not more than 200 or with annual sales turnover of not more than $100 million
- Trainees must be hired in accordance with the Employment Act and fully sponsored by their employers for the course
- Trainees must be Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
- Trainees must not be a full-time national serviceman
