Overview

There has been an increase in mental health conditions worldwide, including Singapore. With close to half (46%) of Singaporeans placing mental health as the biggest health problem facing the country today, followed by cancer (38%) and stress (35%), there is a call to action for stronger support systems.

Notably, recent scientific research has increasingly emphasised the crucial roles of food and nutrition in preventing and managing mental illnesses. Find out how your diet plays a role in psychological health.

In this module, learn the concepts of mental wellness and its relationship with the nervous system. Examine the impacts of food, nutrition, and diet on the onset and severity of mental illnesses.
