EduKaki is an AI-powered education pathway planning platform designed to help Singapore students and parents navigate the country's complex education system with greater confidence. By analysing a student's academic profile, interests, and aspirations against verified Ministry of Education (MOE) policies and pathway requirements, the platform provides personalised education roadmaps, identifies developmental gaps, and recommends suitable academic pathways.
Combining a rule-based recommendation engine with AI-generated guidance, EduKaki simplifies education planning while empowering families to make more informed decisions at key transition points.
Singapore's education system offers multiple academic pathways, but navigating them often requires students and parents to gather information from numerous sources, many of which provide limited personalised guidance. EduKaki was developed to address this challenge by delivering tailored education pathway recommendations based on each student's academic profile, interests, and aspirations.
Built using Replit, Python, a structured rule-based recommendation engine, and OpenAI GPT-4o-mini, the platform combines verified MOE policies with AI-generated explanations to provide personalised education roadmaps, gap analysis, and guidance through three interaction modes: Quick Planner, Guided Conversation, and Recovery Playbook.
Overall, the project demonstrates how AI can responsibly support education planning by combining deterministic decision logic with clear, personalised guidance. As an educational decision-support tool, EduKaki empowers students and parents to make more informed education choices while complementing, rather than replacing, guidance from schools and education counsellors
