- Core Module - Getting Started with RPA: 2.5 days
- Tech Lab 1 - 4: 16 hours each
Overview
The digital revolution has begun. Robotic Process Automation (RPA) has already started to impact all manner of industries. RPA is best described as specially-configured software designed to complete tasks that would otherwise have to be completed by a human. Very soon, we will have to come to terms with the reality of far more non-human workers in our offices and the way we work fundamentally changing to accommodate them.
Are you ready for the RPA revolution?
Employing robots isn’t going to be a solution for every problem, but they can be incredibly effective co-workers when the going gets tough and the numbers need some serious crunching. Think of them as the ‘people programmers’. New skills and new attitudes will, of course, be required in this rapidly changing world – but there are countless new opportunities to come with this.
Adopting a blended learning approach with practical hands-on experience, this series, to be conducted by industry practitioners and experienced digital leaders from Ernst & Young (EY), focuses on RPA and its application within back office corporate functions such as Human Resources, Finance, IT and/or sector operations i.e. Retail, Tourism, Consumer Goods, Financial Services.
The SMU RPA Series comprises the following courses
- Core Module - Getting Started with RPA
- Tech Lab 1 - Digital Readiness, Leadership and Teaming Assessment
- Tech Lab 2 - Ideation, Prioritisation and Agile Way of Working
- Tech Lab 3 - Process Optimisation and Change Management
- Tech Lab 4 - RPA Governance and Roadmap Development
The Tech Labs are add-ons to help companies/ organisations with their project initiatives specific to RPA implementations. Depending on the readiness of each company/ organisation, different Tech Labs, each targeting a particular aspect of RPA implementation, are available to support participants/ organisations with establishing the digital foundations needed for success.
