Who Should Attend

This programme is best suited to marketing professionals with a sound understanding of marketing principles and practices. The programme is specifically designed for those seeking a deeper understanding of how to harness the digital revolution and the opportunities emerging marketing channels will bring to their organisations or clients. Established marketing executives will be able to update their knowledge of the current marketing landscape, while aspiring marketers will be able to develop a strategic perspective on how to use the various marketing elements to achieve marketing objectives and KPIs.

There are no prerequisites for this programme. Prior knowledge on any of the topics is not required.

Overview

You don’t need us to say that because Covid-19, 2020 was an atypical year that disrupted businesses in such a way that it’s hard to anticipate all of its consequences. It’s safe to say that virtually all activities will change in some way or another – and marketing is hardly the exception. So, trying to foresee how its future will look feels like a guessing game at times.

In this module, participants are encouraged to speculate about the future of marketing and discover how they can harness opportunities and identify the necessary considerations for building a feasible digital transformation strategy, through a selection of the most important factors to consider such as data tracking and analytics, data privacy regulation, value creation, etc.

Learning Objectives

  • Bridge the gap between what is known about customers and what can actually be known about them
  • Learn how Artificial Intelligence can be used to uncover a customer’s purchase pattern
  • Make use of data to create intelligent pricing programmes, which react to market activity

Assessment

As part of the requirement for SkillsFuture Singapore, there will be an assessment conducted at the end of the course. The mode of assessment, which is up to the trainer’s discretion, may be an online quiz, a presentation or based on classroom exercises.

Participants are required to attain a minimum of 75% attendance and pass the associated assessment in order to receive a digital Certificate of Completion issued by Singapore Management University.

SkillsFuture Credit

Singapore Citizens aged 25 and above may use their SkillsFuture Credits to pay for the course fees. The credits may be used on top of existing course fee funding.

This is only applicable to self-sponsored participants. Application to utilise SkillsFuture Credits can be submitted when making payment for the course via the SMU Academy TMS Portal, and can only be made within 60 days of course start date.

Enhanced Training Support for SMEs (ETSS)

  • Organisation must be registered or incorporated in Singapore
  • Employment size of not more than 200 or with annual sales turnover of not more than $100 million
  • Trainees must be hired in accordance with the Employment Act and fully sponsored by their employers for the course
  • Trainees must be Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
  • Trainees must not be a full-time national serviceman
  • Trainees are eligible for ETSS funding only if their company's SME status is approved prior to the course commencement date. To verify your SME's status, please click here.
