Overview
Just as ChatGPT captured global attention, gaining 1 million users in its first 5 days and drawing comparisons to landmark innovations like the iPhone, businesses across industries are recognising the transformative impact AI-powered chatbots can have on their operations.
The programme aims to introduce participants to AI technology and Generative AI applications, focusing on how the tools can directly enhance the organisation. Through interactive sessions, real-life case studies, and practical hands-on exercises, participants will understand what makes AI chatbots effective, learn the essentials of creating customised solutions, and discover how to implement them to solve real-world business challenges.
By the end of the program, participants will be equipped with actionable insights and the skills necessary to use AI technology to drive meaningful improvements and innovation within their roles and industry.
Learning Objectives
At the end of the 2-day module, participants will be able to:
- Understand the essentials of Generative AI and chatbots and their transformative impact across industries.
- Implement a system prompt, with specific roles tailored for various functions or industries
- Learn to design and develop chatbots, powered by LLMs such as OpenAI tailored to business requirements.
- Understand R.A.G (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) and how applications and organisations can tap into this technique.
- Apply techniques to enhance chatbot functionality and user engagement, and gain insights into deploying and maintaining AI-driven chatbots.
- Explore ethical considerations of AI and emerging trends in technology.
Assessment
As part of the requirement for SkillsFuture Singapore, there will be an assessment conducted at the end of the course. The mode of assessment, which is up to the trainer’s discretion, may be an online quiz, a presentation or based on classroom exercises.
Participants are required to attain a minimum of 75% attendance and pass the associated assessment in order to receive a digital Certificate of Completion issued by Singapore Management University.

Enhanced Training Support for SMEs (ETSS)
- Organisation must be registered or incorporated in Singapore
- Employment size of not more than 200 or with annual sales turnover of not more than $100 million
- Trainees must be hired in accordance with the Employment Act and fully sponsored by their employers for the course
- Trainees must be Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
- Trainees must not be a full-time national serviceman
