PREREQUISITES
There are no prerequisites for this programme. Prior knowledge on any of the topics is not required.
Overview
How has data management progressed from Web 2.0 to Web 3.0? What are some of the security and privacy risks that decentralisation has brought in? What are the regulations and legal protections that have been implemented to curb such security risks? Through this course, participants will be able to identify differences in data management between Web 2.0 and Web 3.0, Web 3.0 risks and the technologies that mitigate these risks.
Learning Objectives
At the end of the 1-day module, participants will be able to:
- Identify the difference in data management between Web 2.0 and Web 3.0
- Identify the different forms of risks that have arisen due to Web 3.0 decentralisation
- Gain an understanding of risk management strategies and legal regulations that can be implemented to manage various risks in Web 3.0 and how to balance the risks with benefits that come with Web 3.0
- Introduce the steps to take or signs to notice indicating when a company is ready to pivot to Web 3.0 through case studies
- Consider the current developments and future outlooks for regulation in Web 3.0
Assessment
As part of the requirement for SkillsFuture Singapore, there will be an assessment conducted at the end of the course. The mode of assessment, which is up to the trainer’s discretion, may be an online quiz, a presentation or based on classroom exercises.
Participants are required to attain a minimum of 75% attendance and pass the associated assessment in order to receive a digital Certificate of Completion issued by Singapore Management University.
