Overview
This foundational course establishes the strategic linkage between digital adoption, Artificial Intelligence (AI), enterprise transformation and climate adaptation outcomes. Participants will examine how AI-enabled analytics, automation, Internet of Things (IoT), and digital platforms enhance sustainability performance, reduce emissions, and strengthen climate resilience across operations and supply chains.
The course introduces enterprise digital maturity models, climate risk integration into strategy, and the value-creation lens required to align AI investments with Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and adaptation objectives. Through real-world case studies, participants will gain insights into how organisations leverage AI to improve reporting accuracy, predict climate risks, and align digital investments with long-term sustainability value creation.
Learning Objectives
At the end of the 2-day course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the limitations of traditional Return on Investment (ROI) models in evaluating digital, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and sustainability initiatives
- Analyse key trends in digital adoption and sustainability reporting and their impact on enterprise strategy
- Articulate value-driven narratives that support investment decisions in AI-enabled Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives
- Differentiate between optimisation and transformation in digital and climate adaptation strategies
- Assess the impact of AI and digital technologies on ESG performance, climate resilience, and business models
Assessment
As part of the requirement for Skills and Workforce Development Agency (SWDA), there will be an assessment conducted at the end of the course. Participants are required to attain a minimum of 75% attendance and pass the associated assessment in order to receive a digital Certificate of Completion.
