Who Should Attend

Managers, executives, and IT leaders responsible for strategic decision making within their organisations and individuals who wish to enhance their knowledge of Green IT practices and drive positive social and environmental change in their companies.

Overview

In today's rapidly evolving technological landscape, the need for sustainable and environmentally friendly IT practices is more critical than ever. As the world grapples with the consequences of climate change, resource depletion, and environmental degradation, businesses and organizations must rethink their approach to technology and its environmental impact. The adoption of Green IT practices is no longer just a trend but a strategic imperative. Companies that embrace eco-friendly IT solutions can significantly reduce their carbon footprint, minimise waste, and optimise resource usage, all while enhancing operational efficiency and cutting costs. This course aims to empower managers and executives to take decisive steps towards integrating green technologies into their business models, and how it can be  a powerful enabler of long-term environmental sustainability, helping organisations not only meet regulatory requirements but also gain a competitive advantage in an increasingly eco-conscious market.

Learning Objectives

At the end of the 2-day course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the core principles of Green IT and their importance
  • Develop and implement Green IT strategies and roadmaps
  • Promote Green IT practices within their organisations
  • Utilise tools and techniques to monitor and improve IT sustainability

As part of the requirement for SkillsFuture Singapore, there will be an assessment conducted at the end of the course. The mode of assessment, which is up to the trainer’s discretion, may be an online quiz, a presentation or based on classroom exercises.
