Overview
This course examines the evolving landscape of sustainable finance reporting and disclosure frameworks relevant to climate adaptation. Participants will examine global ESG standards, sustainability-linked reporting requirements, climate-related financial disclosures, and regulatory expectations. The course emphasises translating climate strategy into measurable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), aligning reporting with investor expectations, and integrating adaptation metrics into corporate governance.
Practical exercises focus on analysing sustainability reports and structuring meaningful KPIs, enabling clearer articulation of climate adaptation and resilience within financial and ESG narratives.
Learning Objectives
At the end of the 2-day course, participants will be able to:
- Interpret climate adaptation and resilience insights within sustainability and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) reports
- Understand key ESG reporting frameworks, including Global Reporting Initiative (GRI)-aligned disclosures and their application
- Assess Singapore Exchange (SGX) sustainability reporting requirements and expectations
- Translate sustainability disclosures into finance-ready narratives aligned with investor expectations
- Identify gaps and weaknesses in ESG and climate-related metrics to improve reporting quality
Assessment
As part of the requirement for Skills and Workforce Development Agency (SWDA), there will be an assessment conducted at the end of the course. Participants are required to attain a minimum of 75% attendance and pass the associated assessment in order to receive a digital Certificate of Completion.

Enhanced Training Support for SMEs (ETSS)
- Organisation must be registered or incorporated in Singapore
- Employment size of not more than 200 or with annual sales turnover of not more than $100 million
- Trainees must be hired in accordance with the Employment Act and fully sponsored by their employers for the course
- Trainees must be Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
- Trainees must not be a full-time national serviceman
