Overview
This course covers strategic and tactical applications in the process of acquiring, managing and divesting real estate assets in an investment portfolio.
Note: Participants are recommended to have basic knowledge in real estate investment and investment finance, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, to fully benefit from this course.

- Gain a comprehensive understanding of how private equity investors set up investment portfolios and develop asset management plans
- Learn how to drive financial performance from assets under management
Topic/Structure
Private Equity Real Estate
- Understand the process for including private equity portfolio allocation to real estate investments
- Investment methodology for real estate portfolio
- Review and understand research methodology to forecast potential real estate performance
- Development of the Investment Policy Statement for real estate portfolio construction
- Understand the computation of investment returns in the context of real estate investments
- Understand the broad universe of direct and indirect real estate investments and the character
- Develop a Feasibility Study based on the Module Case Study which would be disseminated ahead of the programme
Asset Management
- Understand the development process of a Strategic and Tactical Asset Plan
- Understand the different roles played by the Portfolio Manager, Asset Manager and Property Manager
- Gain an insight into the process framework and tactical execution of asset management in seeking both income and capital gain outcomes for assets under management
- Development of both strategic and tactical asset plans will be highlighted against investment characteristics of income and gain objectives
- Participants will develop a Strategic and Tactical asset plan based on a case study which will be made available before the course

Upon meeting the attendance and assessment criteria, participants will be awarded a digital certificate for participating in each module. Please refer to our course policies to view the attendance and assessment criteria.
Upon completion of all modules required for this programme within a maximum duration of 3 years, participants will be awarded a digital certificate.
