PREREQUISITES
- A Bachelor's Degree; or
- A Diploma with at least 3 years of working experience
- Basic knowledge in Finance and/or relevant working experience in the finance sector
- Comfortable dealing and working with multiple mathematical formula
Overview
This programme encompasses an overview of the global financial markets, trading, strategies, and practical guidance from experts who were able to consistently yield profitable returns for the past 16 years. Build foundational knowledge in the fast game of trading and learn how to analyse data to make wiser decisions. Participants in this programme will also undergo practical exercises to experiment with trading strategies and apply them in the real markets.

Topic/Structure
To achieve the Certificate in Financial Trading, participants will need to complete the following modules offered by SMU Academy:
Introduction to Trading Platforms
Futures Trading
Introduction to Trading Using Technical Analysis
Fundamentals of Ichimoku
Fundamentals of Foreign Exchange (FX) and Commodities
Risk Management for Vanilla Options
This course is also a part of the Advanced Diploma in Financial Trading and Value Investing.
Assessment
An assessment will be conducted at the end of each module.
CERTIFICATION
Upon completion of all 6 modules within a maximum duration of 3 years, participants will be awarded a digital Certificate in Financial Trading.

- Organisation must be registered or incorporated in Singapore
- Employment size of not more than 200 or with annual sales turnover of not more than $100 million
- Trainees must be hired in accordance with the Employment Act and fully sponsored by their employers for the course
- Trainees must be Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
- Trainees must not be a full-time national serviceman
