Who Should Attend
This programme is aimed at educators and organisational leaders who are keen to understand and leverage Edtech to innovate from within the institutions and learning organisations. The programme is specifically designed for those who seek to integrate new technologies and tools into the learning process.
Overview
In order to stay relevant, educators and organisational leaders need to leverage emerging technologies to achieve new levels of productivity, implement useful digital tools to expand learning opportunities for learners and provide them with innovative and engaging learning experiences. Through a series of six modules offered in collaboration with SuperCharger Ventures - the largest Edtech-only accelerator globally, participants will explore emerging Edtech and AI innovations, gain insights into best practices for fostering innovation in teaching and learning, and engage in hands-on experiences with various applications and tools.
Topic/Structure
To achieve the Advanced Certificate in Innovative Educational Technologies, participants will need to complete the following modules offered by SMU Academy:
Module 1: Edtech Fundamentals
Module 2: Use Cases of Edtech
Module 3: Understanding Artificial Intelligence and ChatGPT in Education
Module 4: Applications of Edtech and Artificial Intelligence for Educator
Module 5: Implementing Edtech and Artificial Intelligence in an Institution
Module 6: Building a Custom Edtech Solution
Assessment
As part of the requirement for SkillsFuture Singapore, there will be an assessment conducted at the end of every module. The mode of assessment, which is up to the trainer’s discretion, may be an online quiz, a presentation or based on classroom exercises.
Participants are required to attain a minimum of 75% attendance and pass the associated assessment for each of the 6 modules within 3 years in order to be awarded the digital Advanced Certificate in Innovative Educational Technologies issued by Singapore Management University.
Participants should preferably be an educator or leader of a school, university, learning teams/ organisation, or Edtech startups.

SkillsFuture Credit
Singapore Citizens aged 25 and above may use their SkillsFuture Credits to pay for the course fees. The credits may be used on top of existing course fee funding.
This is only applicable to self-sponsored participants. Application to utilise SkillsFuture Credits can be submitted when making payment for the course via the SMU Academy TMS Portal, and can only be made within 60 days of course start date.

Enhanced Training Support for SMEs (ETSS)
- Organisation must be registered or incorporated in Singapore
- Employment size of not more than 200 or with annual sales turnover of not more than $100 million
- Trainees must be hired in accordance with the Employment Act and fully sponsored by their employers for the course
- Trainees must be Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
- Trainees must not be a full-time national serviceman
