Overview
Sustainability has become a crucial topic in recent years due to the urgent challenges of climate change and environmental degradation. This shift is giving rise to a new wave of financial technology known as Sustainable Finance, where the core focus extends beyond profit to include environmental and social governance (ESG) principles. The financial sector is currently undergoing a transformative shift, catalysed by technological innovation that promises not only operational efficiencies but also a path to address the pressing issues of sustainability and social impact. With the development of green and transition financing solutions, the sustainability goal is to strengthen the financial sector’s ability to manage climate risk management, build sustainable finance capabilities and integrate climate change considerations.
In Module 2, participants will be equipped to understand the transition of green activities for financial institutions and gain insights into the development of sustainable finance in Singapore, with regional and international context.
