Overview
At the intersection of financial technology (Fintech) and the increasingly important sectors of sustainability, social impact, and climate finance, enterprises need to leverage emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, and data analytics to transform the financial landscape and driving forward the agenda for responsible and sustainable finance. This certificate programme delves into the practical applications of responsible finance, technology innovation, with a strong emphasis on sustainability, where participants will gain insights into responsible finance practices, green bonds, ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) investing, and carbon credit marketplaces, providing an understanding of the scale and potential of Fintech to address global sustainability challenges and using it as a force for good.
Topic/Structure
To achieve the Advanced Certificate in Fintech, Sustainable and Ethical Finance, participants will need to complete the following modules offered by SMU Academy:
Module 1: Fintech and Insurtech - Global Outlook and Emerging Technology
Module 2: Sustainable Finance and Ethical Finance: Environmental, Social, Governance
Module 3: Artificial Intelligence in Finance and Fintech
Module 4: Green Financing and Investment Instruments
Module 5: Regulation, Policy, and Compliance in Fintech and Sustainable Finance
Assessment
As part of the requirement for SkillsFuture Singapore, there will be an assessment conducted at the end of every module. The mode of assessment, which is up to the trainer’s discretion, may be an online quiz, a presentation or based on classroom exercises.
Participants are required to attain a minimum of 75% attendance and pass the associated assessment for each of the 6 modules within 3 years in order to be awarded the digital Advanced Certificate in Fintech, Sustainable and Ethical Finance issued by Singapore Management University.
