Who Should Attend
Professionals from diverse industries including product design to brand strategy, communications and creatives, as well as aspiring UX design practitioners, content and UX writers, bloggers, business owners, teachers, and social media marketers who wish to learn the art of digital writing and content design.
PREREQUISITES
There are no prerequisites for this introductory course. However, basic knowledge of working with presentation software is required for in-lesson practice sessions.
Overview
This course addresses a critical skill gap by equipping participants with the ability to write effective content for digital interfaces. Essential for aspiring UX writers, Content Designers, and UX Designers in today's tech industry, the course empowers learners to craft content that resonates with their target audience, drives engagement, and achieves product outcomes. Focusing on user-centric app design and online/web interfaces, this course helps participants from diverse backgrounds, such as marketing agencies, content writing, education, and journalism, pivot or transition into the tech industry. Learning Objectives
At the end of the 3-day course, participants will be able to:
- Use copywriting techniques to craft engaging digital content and experiences for web pages, apps, social media, blog articles, and personal projects.
- Improve one’s employability for digital industry with technical writing skills while building a professional portfolio or working on a project of one’s choice.
- Learn how to use modern content software such as Figma, Miro, Medium, Notion, Wix, Lokalise, and Grammarly.
Learning Methodology
- Presentations and lectures to understand key concepts and skills
- Case studies and examples to reinforce concepts and skills
- In-lesson practice sessions to consolidate concepts and skills
- Attendees are encouraged to propose pain points and problems for further discussion
Assessment
As part of the requirement for SkillsFuture Singapore, there will be an assessment conducted at the end of the course. The mode of assessment, which is up to the trainer’s discretion, may be an online quiz, a presentation or based on classroom exercises.
Participants are required to attain a minimum of 75% attendance and pass the associated assessment in order to receive a digital Certificate of Completion issued by Singapore Management University.

Enhanced Training Support for SMEs (ETSS)
- Organisation must be registered or incorporated in Singapore
- Employment size of not more than 200 or with annual sales turnover of not more than $100 million
- Trainees must be hired in accordance with the Employment Act and fully sponsored by their employers for the course
- Trainees must be Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
- Trainees must not be a full-time national serviceman
