PREREQUISITES

Overview

A highly educated coach or trainer may not always be an effective one. The edge in effectiveness lies in the delivery of the programme, from attention to communication. These tiny details can make a big difference in the growth of the client and adds value to their journey.

Participants in this module will learn to assess the client’s health status and rightly prioritise the areas to improve. They will explore different coaching styles to fit the clients and improve compliance. Participants will also learn through practical applications to be familiar with situations and improve their methods.

Learning Objectives

  • Learn to assess the communication style of different clients and advise them accordingly
  • Learn how to coach multiple clients at the same time effectively
  • Be able to conduct a pre-exercise consultation and health assessment

  • Know how to use these results to guide their exercise and nutritional recommendations
  • Learn to coach people with different communication styles
  • Understanding emotional drives
  • Practice coaching 1-to-1 and in a group settings

CERTIFICATION

Upon meeting the attendance and assessment criteria, participants will be awarded a digital certificate for participating in each module. Please refer to our course policies to view the attendance and assessment criteria. 

Upon completion of all modules required for this programme within a maximum duration of 3 years, participants will be awarded a digital certificate.

 

NROC members can earn up to 10 Continuing Coach Education (CCE) hours after completing all 6 modules of Professional Certificate in Fitness Training Programme.

Employer Sponsored

Enhanced Training Support for SMEs (ETSS)

  • Organisation must be registered or incorporated in Singapore
  • Employment size of not more than 200 or with annual sales turnover of not more than $100 million
  • Trainees must be hired in accordance with the Employment Act and fully sponsored by their employers for the course
  • Trainees must be Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
  • Trainees must not be a full-time national serviceman
  • Trainees are eligible for ETSS funding only if their company's SME status is approved prior to the course commencement date. To verify your SME's status, please click here
