Overview
Participants in this programme will understand the importance of exercise in areas of management, development and prevention. In addition, participants will also complete the holistic approach to strategies dealing with the psychological and mental health.
Learning Objectives
- Understand the different exercising and breathing techniques and routines
- Plan an effective long-term training programme based on individual goals
- Identify daily lifestyle habits that affect muscle and joint health and improve wellness through specific techniques like acupressure
- Understand how brain development affects habit formation and movement
- Develop skills and knowledge to restore faulty movement from infancy
- Appreciate the effects of different diet types and the relationship between food and energy
- Learn breathing techniques to manage stress and boost metabolism, endurance and aerobic capacity

CERTIFICATION
Upon completion of all 6 modules within a maximum duration of 3 years, participants will be awarded a digital Certificate in Exercise Science.
NROC members can earn up to 10 Continuing Coach Education (CCE) hours after completing all 6 modules of Certificate in Exercise Science Programme.

SkillsFuture Credit
Singapore Citizens aged 25 and above may use their SkillsFuture Credits to pay for the course fees. The credits may be used on top of existing course fee funding.
This is only applicable to self-sponsored participants. Application to utilise SkillsFuture Credits can be submitted when making payment for the course via the SMU Academy TMS Portal, and can only be made within 60 days of course start date.

Enhanced Training Support for SMEs (ETSS)
- Organisation must be registered or incorporated in Singapore
- Employment size of not more than 200 or with annual sales turnover of not more than $100 million
- Trainees must be hired in accordance with the Employment Act and fully sponsored by their employers for the course
- Trainees must be Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
- Trainees must not be a full-time national serviceman
