Overview
As Artificial Intelligence (AI), automation, and digital tools increasingly permeate everyday work, organisations must go beyond incremental improvements and intentionally redesign jobs to stay productive, efficient, and future ready. This 2-day course takes participants through a structured, hands on job redesign journey - starting with analysing how work is currently performed and where human effort is under or mis-utilised, then identifying opportunities to reallocate tasks between people, AI, and automation, and finally translating these insights into redesigned job roles.
Participants will develop practical deliverables along the way, including task and workflow maps highlighting automation and augmentation opportunities, human-AI role boundaries, updated skill and capability requirements, and redesigned job profiles ready for implementation. The goal of Job redesign is not to add or overload the job with more tasks, but to realign work with organisational priorities, technology capabilities, and evolving skills - so that people with those roles can deliver greater value. The end outcome is a set of job designs that leverage AI and technology to remove low value work, enhance decision making, and elevate the contribution and employability of the existing workforce.
Learning Objectives
At the end of the 2-day course, participants will be able to:
• Identify opportunities for job redesign at the workplace
• Analyse and design job roles that would reduce redundancy and elevate job value
• Deploy Artificial Intelligence (AI) / Digital and technology tools and project management methods to remove low value work, enhance decision making, and elevate productivity and contributions of the existing workforce
• Conduct evaluation on the effectiveness of the redesigned job roles
