DIGITAL SUPPLY CHAIN AND INTELLIGENCE TRACK
This track provides learners with a comprehensive understanding of the interconnectedness and interdependencies across various aspects of supply chain management. Participants develop knowledge in IT systems, technology implementation, and emerging digital technologies such as big data analytics, Internet of Things (IoT), and machine learning. This specialisation empowers professionals to optimise supply chain operations, enhance decision-making processes, and stay at the forefront of technological advancements in the field.

Participants will gain insights to the concepts of the “Metaverse” and “Web 3.0” and provide a framework for understanding how the law might evolve to deal with the challenges posed by these new technological frontiers. They will also learn how to deal with Web 3.0 and its relationship to the Metaverse.

Participants will be introduced to the fundamentals of blockchain, cryptocurrencies and smart contracts. They will also gain insights into the advantages and limitations of blockchain technology and appropriate use cases. They will also learn to combine both legal and smart agreements in one cohesive process using techniques applied in the field, in aim to offer their clients the best of both worlds.

Participants will gain a conceptual overview and insights into the technical know-how to be brought in to support the human element in the transition to a robot-filled working environment. Participants will also understand the implication of RPA to operations and the associated organisational impacts on people.

Participants will be introduced to four fundamental ingredients that contribute to a culture conducive to innovation. This course includes hands-on activities for participants to practice newly learned skills and discuss practical considerations. The course also discusses the innovation culture framework which consists of leadership, environments, systems & processes, passion & grit.

Participants will develop an understanding of the foundations of Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), before developing a capability to deploy "Intelligent" and "Cognitive" tools within Process and Service Design contexts. Participants will also understand the governance challenges of "AI-Assisted" process, product, and service design.

Participants will gain an understanding on what is the Internet of Things (IoT) and how it works. Participants will also learn how IoT devices interact with users. Additionally, participants will delve into the constraints and opportunities of wireless and mobile networks for IoT.

Participants will develop a foundational understanding of logistics and supply chain management in Asia and its impact on the global logistics and supply chain industry. Participants will learn tools and techniques that can be applied across different business models and vertical sectors. They will also be equipped with the critical knowledge of logistics and supply chain management and the ability to use this information in the workplace.

Participants will gain a foundational understanding of the regulatory challenges to logistics and supply chain management in Asia. The training is relevant to companies and individuals including those involved in the management of regional and cross border supply chain operations in Asia and any individuals seeking to expand their understanding of the regulatory challenges in this industry.

Participants will develop an operating knowledge of transportation operations management relating to manufacturing and supply chain. Participants will acquire concepts and operational specifics of commercial intermodal transportation pertaining to freight movement. They will also learn about intermodal services, terminals, equipment and information systems and the interactions between individual modes and intermediaries.

Participants will explore the methods for design and analysis of robotics and intelligent systems in supply chain. Participants will also gain an understanding of how the ability to leverage AI and robotics automation in supply chains will become a major source of competitive advantage.

Participants will understand the use of the digital transformation toolkit which delves into the means to diagnose the state of innovation readiness for a business/ organisation. Participants will also be equipped with critical project management skills which will enable them to manage and meet the milestones of different project phases and to deliver on their organisation's digital transformation strategies.

Participants will gain a basic understanding and tools to evaluate large amounts of data. They will learn how to use the data to identify new opportunities and create an effective plan based on the insights it provides. Participants will also garner insights into enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of supply chain analytics using a Business Intelligence approach.

Participants will gain insights into aligning overall organisational performances required by the extended supply chain with the business strategy and the adoption of supply chain related technologies. Participants will also explore how the supply chain will function within its evolving environment to deliver on the organisation's strategic objectives and goals.

Participants will gain a broad overview of ongoing alignment of technology adoption across various sectors of supply chain and logistics such as maritime supply chain, air and sea freight operations, warehousing and logistics operations, transportation and distribution, and supply chain operations management. Participants will also learn how to identify the benefits and challenges arising from the adoption of technologies across supply chain operations.

Participants will learn the confluence of 3 core technologies in supply chain innovation – Internet of Things (IoT), AI and Autonomous Technologies – and how they can be integrated effectively to drive intelligence in supply chain operations. Participants will also learn how to define and evaluate the evolving challenges on emerging and disruptive technologies for supply chain.

Participants will develop essential knowledge of Machine Learning and Deep Learning using commercially available software and tools. Participants will also understand about big data, business data and analytics in business. They will also learn how to generate business value from the application of Google AppSheet and RPA and be able to create business analytics reports and analyse business data sets to generate facts, valuable outcomes and sustainable impacts.

Participants will gain a foundational understanding of logistics operations management, specifically focusing on warehousing and distribution. Participants will also learn how to differentiate the components of logistics systems (stakeholders, transportation, warehousing, and inventory etc.) are related to and interact with each other.

Participants will discover about the opportunities created by digitalisation, new consumer segments and integrated technologies and explores how to get more value from your supply chain and improve profits. Participants will also learn how to review cost efficiencies, explore ways to get faster, more flexible in their operations in order to stay ahead of competitors and meet changing consumer expectations.

Participants will be equipped with skills in advanced data collection, connectivity, and analysis of information collected by computers everywhere—taking the concepts of machine-to-machine communication farther than ever before. Participants will also learn the foundations of IoT, including the components, tools, and analysis. They will also develop a good understanding of the benefits, value, context and even technologies of IoT by looking at examples across various real-world applications.

Participants will be equipped with the skills to fully exploit the internet and improve customer experience with digital technologies. Participants will also be introduced to the low-code, no-code tech applications and provided with foundational training in Google AppSheet application.

Participants will gain a solid foundation for the regional operational governance of a Data Protection Management Programme (DPMP) and defines how the DPMP may be developed, measured and improved. Participants will also explore the management and operations of the DPMP within the context of the organisation’s privacy and data protection strategy.

Participants will delve into Europe's data protection laws and regulations and how to apply them to Asia. They will also learn the important definitions of privacy and organising data protection. Additionally, they will also gain insights to transfer mechanisms and practice of data protection.

Participants will understand how to categorise performance measures for each aspect of the supply chain. They will also learn how to determine the optimal number of suppliers to manage disaster risk. Participants will also be able to explain and measure the bullwhip effect, as well as determine the impact and cost considerations of transportation alternatives.

Participants will be able to describe the steps in supplier selection. They will also explore how machine learning models can be applied to analyse market conditions and optimise pricing strategies in strategic sourcing. Admission requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years working experience; or
- A Diploma with at least 10 years of relevant working experience
Validity of stackable modules
- Up to 4 years. Requests for extension beyond the validity period of 4 years is subject to the review and discretion of the Academic Director, Lifelong Learning.
In general, learners will be encouraged to complete the Industry Practice Master within 3 years.
