What are SkillsFuture Credits?
SkillsFuture Credits are part of a national initiative to support skills development and lifelong learning. Since 2016, all Singaporean citizens aged 25 and above have been provided with an initial credit of S$500, which can be used to subsidise eligible training programmes.

All Singaporeans aged 25 years and above are eligible to use SkillsFuture Credits to support their personal and professional development.
What can I use SkillsFuture Credits for?
These credits can be applied to a wide variety of approved courses. They work in tandem with existing government subsidies to reduce out-of-pocket costs for learners.
How do I get started?
Once you have registered for a course, you may submit a SkillsFuture Credit claim through the official SkillsFuture portal. Claims must be submitted within 60 days before the course commences and no later than 5 days prior to the start date.
How to Claim SkillsFuture Credits for SMU Academy’s Courses
Before beginning the claiming process, please ensure you have completed the following:
- Set up your SkillsFuture profile, if this is your first time accessing the portal
- Review your available credit balance in your SkillsFuture Credit wallet
- Ensure the claim amount is either equal to your credit balance or the full course fee, whichever is lower
- Submit your claim via the SMU Academy TMS Portal within 60 days and no later than 5 days before your course begins
